Anoint your head with oil

A blessed day I pray for you and me. I pray that today is full with wisdom and appreciation for what it is achieved, for what we are provided with and for new opportunities. I pray that we are thankful for where we are and keep dreaming a better tomorrow, in Jesus Name, amen!

Yesterday I did meditate a lot on Ecclesiastes chapter 9 and still I find it so impressive and at the same time …I could say little depressive. Two things that really strike me is that as long as we live on earth, we do share the same destiny. No matter if we are just or not, when rain comes, it comes to all of us. When war knocks our door, knocks for all of us. We share the same destiny but not the same destination. When the Lord comes, who truly believed in Him, s/he goes with Him, no matter what happened on earth. But even when still on earth when the trouble comes we can leave it in our Lord’s feet and He will find the way out.

The other one is that whatever we do, in whatever we are involved, we need to enjoy it and do it with all our heart.

Ecclesiastes 9v 8 & 10

“(8)Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil…(10)Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”

In fact, I have observed that when I take a decision that this day I will enjoy whatever I need and want to do, I do really enjoy it. Sometimes the obstacles arrive unexpected but still they look much smaller than usual.

A lot of things and changes in our lives are connected with just a decision. When the decision is genuine, changes appear in time. It might not be immediately but as we persevere, they appear. We do not need to know how, or have the skills. We need to make the decision and work our way together with the Lord. He will provide the rest. Amen!

Love you,

Dimitra
