Another glorious day in Northern Ireland, sun is shining, blue skies and all birds singing no stop …till they go to sleep! All plants started shooting new leaves. Flower pots, fields and garderns are filled with colourful early season flowers. Spring is wonderful. Our senses wake up again!
I am studying and meditating on Matthew 8v24-26
“Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”
What is important to remind myself is that even when a sudden storm appeared still the Lord kept sleeping. He did not lose His peace. He did not lose His peace due to His faith. He knew the authority He had (the same that we have as believers). He knew also that by missing His sleep the storm would not stop!
There, however, moments that we do lose our peace, this is human and it is ok! The question is what we would do about it!
We read again and again in the Bible that things were happening based on faith. Nothing moves in the Kingdom without faith. It is the faith, a faith without doubt that keeps us sleeping peacefully and knowing that the Lord is in control. Amen!
