Door opens, door closes…

Good morning and blessings upon you wonderful people!

Reading today the Word of God, I return to one of my favourite scriptures, one that I have claimed again and again, one that I have meditated on time after time and each time it reveals new elements of who the Lord is and how He performs.

We read:

“I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”

-Revelation 3v8

At first, this scripture confirms that He knows all. He knows our deeds. We can hide them from others but not from God.

Secondly, He speeks about doors that He opens in our lives. It is our choice whether we go through or not! He does open doors – He does close doors as well – and the door that He opens NOBODY can close. I realize each time, how important is to know the voice of our Lord and recognize what He wants from us, which door is opened by Him. In this way, we can cross that door and be secure for a success in His name and for His glory! NOBODY can close it when it is the door chosen by Him. NOBODY! So, time to stop the excuses and just focus to carefully listen from Him.

Last but not least, the Lord says through this scripture that He not only knows our deeds but also our strength. However, all relies not on the strength (personal or the one of the church etc) but in the fact that “we have kept His word and did not deny His name”.

I encourage you today and I pray to our Heavenly Father that Revelation 3v8 will guide you to where you are and where you need to go, to guide you to recognize with clarity which door is opened by the Lord, what is His plan in your life and I mostly pray that all of us we keep His word and never deny His name, In Jesus Name I pray, amen!

Love,

Dimitra
