Good morning to all wonderful boys and girls, men and women out there in the world! May the Lord continues blessing you in all you do today and guides you in a path full of His purpose, in Jesus Name, amen!
I can’t help it today to just go back to the skill of Listening. As time passes in my life, I can see more and more how wonderful is to listen to others and dedicate our time to listen without giving opinions, advices or judging.
As the Spirit guides me today, I re-post few words from a previous publication (Listening and Listening Actively):
“It is not about just hearing what somebody says but truly listening. Our body declines with interest towards the other person when we truly listen. Our eyes make a kind, soft, empathetic continuous contact with the eyes of our talker. When we listen, we do not interrupt the talker. When we listen we do not jump to conclusions. We do not judge. We do not advice. We accept the other person as s/he is and listen what they just say. When we listen, we make an effort to understand and not to be understood. To UNDERSTAND means to see the world through the other person’s eyes and NOT to think that you KNOW what they go through.
We do not assume that we know what the other person will say or think. We will never walk in the shoes of somebody else, no matter how long or how well we think we know that person.”
“My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry…”
Have a great day,
