Good morning! I pray that you are well and looking at this new day with joy in your heart. I pray that the good Lord in His wisdom teaches and prunes all of us in a way that we will become who we really are than who we think we are. In Jesus Name, amen!
I look at the history of Jews and it is astonishing how many times they were/are warned to keep up with the Lord and how many times they had/have suffered out of their unbelief, stubbornness and hard characteristics of this nation.
“in the fight with the Babylonians: ‘They will be filled with the dead bodies of the men I will slay in my anger and wrath. I will hide my face from this city because of all its wickedness. “ ’Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. I will cleanse them from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me.”
Nothing more true than what we just read. A story repeated again and again throughout thousands of years and still happening not only within Israel and Judah but within the Church, the so called Christian countries, the Christian communities and individuals. We keep sinning, we keep disobeying, we keep going our own ways.
We talk about the Lord as a loving God who He is. Nevertheless, we forget that He can be a tough love God as well with wrath and anger in order to discipline us and prune us. He will make anything to save more souls than to count the bodies. He can be two opposites…
We need to think the big picture and not only our own area or era. We are not here to live in Paradise but to make sure that the plan of God to bring as many in salvation will fully go through. It is not about us, it is about Him!
