Feeling dizzy…

Mark 14v34

“My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death,” he said to them. “Stay here and keep watch.”

Good morning! I do not know how you woke up this morning (I do not know even whether you got a good sleep during the night). You might wake up overwhelmed with sorrow, concerns, worries or just with anxiety. I wish to encourage you by saying that our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, understands you. He was there! When He knew that the end was coming, that His path was taking Him on the cross, He was overwhelmed with sorrow.

He prayed and cried to the Father but He did also something else: He asked His friends (that’s how He called them) to stay with Him and watch for Him.

We ask too many questions sometimes, questions that at the end of the day makes us feeling dizzy and overwhelmed. Dizzy as when we run down spiral stairs! We can, however, pray about the questions, ask our friends to be with us and let it go till the time that answers/solutions arrive. By pushing it, it will not happen.

The Lord was overwhelmed and in deep sorrow. He understands!

We need to be there for our friends and others when they are overwhelmed. It doesn’t take much effort, many words; it is just being present!

Amen!

Love,

Dimitra
