Take the problem to God.

Hello to the whole world! Hello to you who just chose to read this post. I wish you blessings upon your heart and mind. I pray that God the Father prepares a wonderful table full of blessings for you, I pray that you can see it, recognize it and receive it with a thankful heart, in Jesus Name, amen!

We know from so many verses in the Bible that we need to take the problem, the issue, the concern or anxiety to God. He has asked us to do so, so many times. Among all those scriptures, one that I have loved and inspires me a lot, is the following:

Nehemiah 1v4-5

“When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. Then I said…”

Nehemiah was very distressed. He had just news from home, where disaster, ruins and misery were dwelling. It is so inspiring to notice what he did! He did not start complaining, making scenarios or get his anger out to others. He recognized his sadness, his feelings and allowed himself to weep, as long as it was necessary for him. It took him days in fact.

Yet, even if he was so low and probably tired from weeping, he went on praying and not only. He went on praying and fasting. We have already discussed in the past the power existing in praying together with fasting.

Nehemiah recognized his feelings and the sadness in his heart but he remained pro-active. He took the problem to God full blast! He took the problem to God applying all principles, not just praying but praying and fasting.

When he was done, he said to the Lord… He prepared himself to say what he wanted to say!

Let’s try to truly take our problems to God with a pure heart and doing the work needed! Amen!

Love,

Dimitra
