“Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.”
Our Lord, we come to you and in humility we ask you to help us to live the good life. Yes, we are not of this world but we do live in this world. We need your strength, alone we can’t make it. So, Lord, listen to us, as we call your blood to cover us, cleanses us and protect us. Your peace and your Spirit to lead our life. In your name, Jesus Christ, we pray, amen!
I pray that you are well and no matter the circumstances, you still keep your focus on the Lord.
It is a fact that when we receive Christ as our Lord and Saviour, much changes in our life. Our body or our emotions do not change. Our environment does not change. Our conditions do not change. YET, our spirit changes, it is a new creature, we are born-again. Our desires change as we want to follow Christ and not our previous life. It is not, however, easy to follow the path. It only happens because the Holy Spirit lives inside us and changes us from inside to outside.
It is important, wherever we live and whatever we do, to live the good life. It is not important what others say or think. We continue living the good life and improve each day. We need to be the example, so His name to be glorified.
I think that it was Mark Twain who said: “you might be the only bible that someone might read!”
I believe that by holding this thought, we will be helped to do better each day and keep living the good life. Amen!
