Take up your position…

2Chronicles 20v17

“You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and  see the deliverance the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.”

Hello there! Thank you for reading these thoughts of God and His promises to us! He is a great God, a lovely Father and a furious warrior fighting and winning battles for us. As I meditate in this so encouraging scripture, I go through each word of it. The Bible is so wonderfully written through the Holy Spirit. I al always impressed how different scholars or teachers of the word try to locate hidden meanings or to “read between the lines” than just read what it is beautifully written.

Reflecting on the above scripture, we can clearly see that our job is not to win the battles. That’s His job. What we need to do is to take position (repent, believe Him and confess Him, pray, fast, work honestly and mostly believe without doubts), not to have fear, not to be discouraged (and doubt!) and just face the enemy in a pro-active way (the problem, the issue, the fear, the person, the situation…), the rest is God’s job. He will deliver and we will be there standing and witnessing one more of His miracles. Amen!

(Dedicated to Greece and we keep praying for deliverance, in Jesus Name, amen! Read Genesis 18, especially verses 26 up to 33! The power of one…)
