“Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
Good morning to all and to all a good morning! Just to remind you that you are greatly loved and you are so precious to our God Father, Son and Holy Spirit. If you feel lonely, know that He is with you. If you feel abandoned, know that He will never forsake you. If you feel weak, know that He is your strength. If you feel hungry, know that He is your food. If you feel restless, know that He is your peace. If you feel unloved, know that He is the Lover of you soul and nobody will ever love you as much as He does.
Don’t be deceived. A lot of opinions, thoughts and doctrines circulate between scholars, preachers, believers and so on. Let’s keep the focus on the Word itself, keep it as it is, keep it simple because it is simple! I don’t believe that we should try to read between the lines!
“Every good and perfect gift is from above” – His nature is compassion; it is care; it is love and provision.
“Who does not change like shifting shadows” – I love this picture: shifting shadows. Do you ever take few minutes and look at the sky? Have you seen those shifting shadows? The Lord is not as such. He is solid and unwavering. He was, is and will be the same. He is not a man to doubt, change mind or lie.
In fact, He is the only secure/long-standing/firm/constant “point of reference” we will experience during our life.
Song of Songs 2v10-13
“My lover spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me. See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone. Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land. The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.”
