Who is inside you?

Our Father in Heavens, I pray that you continue teaching us who you are. I pray that as we walk our path in life, we come closer to you, we come to love you more and more, to trust you and to rely on you with no fear but with a close personal relationship. I pray that when we are weak, you keep us strong and that there is nothing to separate us from you. I pray all in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

1John 4v4

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is  greater than the one who is in the world”

Wow! what a statement and its explanation is found bit further:

1John 4v13

“We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.”

and in case that you are not sure what it means, read:

1Corithians 6v19

“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;”

We are not our own! It is not by accident that the Church is symbolized as a bride. When we make our covenant with Him, we belong to Him and He belongs in us. The union is complete. We know, as we see the Holy Spirit working inside us and overcomes for us. If you think that it is you who overcomes, that it is you who acts and does, re-consider!

I have bad news for you! You can’t boast for what you have done. Simply, it is He who did it and the glory is His. The good news is that at least, we have a light yoke to carry even if sometimes seems enormous. The moment that we acknowledge that it is He who acts for us, the yoke becomes lighter. We ought to press in but we do not need to push in.

So, who is inside you?

Love,

Dimitra
