Which way?

Dear friends, so many times, we stand at a crossroad and try to figure out which way to go. I am confident that most of us had moments of such nature and we will have in the coming future.

What I have learnt is that there is only one way to discover the right direction. It is by listening the voice of our Shephard. By dedicating time with Him and keep quiet enough to make it possibel to listen. He does speak but we do not listen, as we are too busy talking about ourselves and all our concerns! We want answered prayers but we can’t wait for His timing and we incapable to hear the answer when it arrives!

Isaiah 41v18-20

“I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it.

It is important to remember that all is done for His glory, for His name to be glorified and all nations/people to bow in front of Him. I encourage you to consider, as you stand at that crossroad, which direction will bring glory to Him. When you know this, the decision will be easier, life simpler.

Combine the knowledge you get through the Word together with the voice of the Lord, and you will not go the wrong way. And if you do, nothing stops you to go back and re-start at the same crossroad, this time, taking the direction most desirable by the Lord.

Our Lord, here we come into your presence and my prayer is that you hold us safe and help us to listen to your voice; help us to stick with your instructions and not to take the path in life that brings destruction but to continue respecting your ways. In Jesus Christ of Nazareth name, amen!
