You and only you, don’t let

Good morning my friends. May God’s grace and mercy to be with you today and each day in your life.

It is amazing how much we learn through the Word of God. It is amazing that after years of study still new things appear as we read, study and meditate on the Word. It is truly alive!

John 14v27

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

It is a famous verse – at least to me – but still, today, I saw something that I had not grasp before: Do not let …

The Lord gave us peace, His peace. As He gave us the Holy Spirit, as He gives us gifts and provides in all, as well He gave us peace. As He gave us a portion of faith, at the same time He put peace in our inner world. We carry peace with us even when we do not feel it. It is like the sun in a cloudy day: the sun is still there, we just not see it!

The key is to : “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” This is our job! Jesus Christ finished His job on the cross. It is US who need to maintain what it was given to us and it was given freely.

It is us who keep our hearts out of trouble and out of fear. It is our perception about situations and circumstances. No matter what happens, it is us who need to keep our focus on Jesus and overcome through Him. If you want to live a life where all is put on the plate ready for you, you are mistaken. If you want a life without spending time in the Word, with the Lord, with His activiites, without following His instructions…sorry, you will not maintain your peace and all is your own doing.

Make a decision today that your focus is Jesus and only! Your peace will be restored and stay. It is up to you!

Love,

Dimitra
