Our ways…

We often talk about our ways, we talk about God’s ways and we talk about crossroads. There are a lot of ways and roads in life and as the poet wrote …”I took the one less travelled…”

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.”

-Robert Frost (“The Road not taken”)

Again and again, we have heard and we have discussed about decisions taken in life; about our responsibility concerning our decisions and choices. Life is full of crossroads. Crossroads which challenge our decisions. No doubts, it is not an easy task.

However, as the poet said, it is the road we take that makes the difference in life. So, let’s not take it carelessly!

More wisely, the Lord, speaks to us through the proverb below :

Proverbs 16v7

“When a man’s ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.”

We know well, that the ways of the Lord are different than ours. His wisdom and understanding completely different of those of the world. Our decisions and the road we chose to travel will be the one that pleases the Lord. It is very clear in the scriptures. That’s why is important to keep meditating in the Word, so we know what pleases the Lord and follow it through His grace and His strength.

The amazing thing is that when we do so, even our enemies live in peace with us. Who could imagine it? It is possible! Our decisions, our choices, the road that we travel can influence our environment. Nothing goes in waste!

My prayer is that our Lord will strengthen us to do what pleases Him and from now on to be very committed to His ways, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

Love,

Dimitra
