For as he thinks in his heart…

Job 22v22

“Accept instruction from his mouth and lay up his words in your heart.”

Our heart as an organ is so vital for us to keep living. When our heart stops, our life goes! The same way our “spiritual heart” pumps that “spiritual blood” we need to grow in faith and to keep living with our Lord. This heart is a precious “organ” for our walk with our Lord.

So many times, we repeatedly hear that the Lord tests and checks our hearts. The truth is there. The truth is not necessarily in our acts as so easily we can fake them. It is not in our words as we can fake them as well. However, our heart does not lie. He looks in our heart for our true thoughts, our true intentions and our true motivations.

What do we feed our heart? What our heart contains, that’s what we will truly speak, truly think and truly act upon. It is our central “organ” and the true one. When we keep feeding our heart with His instructions and His words, our heart becomes a soft, human, fleshy heart and not a stoned one. A heart that sees how precious others are and how precious we are through Jesus Christ.

For as he thinks in his heart, he will see others and will see himself. That’s how our thoughts will be the thoughts, the wisdom and the understanding of the Lord.

When we look at our self (or anyone else) we need to remember His words that say as Ray McCauley expressed it:

“Learn to line your thoughts up with what God thinks of you. You are the righteousness of Christ in Him. You are the head and not the tail in Him. You are able to do all things through Christ who strengthens you. Without Him we can do nothing, but in Christ we are overcomers in this life”. Amen!

Love,

Dimitra
