“Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret–it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.”
You would say: who cares about the wicked and their evil plans and acts!
This is no true! So many times great Christians wonder how comes that wicked people still get their own way. How God allows that? Why no thunder comes upon them and destroy them?
So many times life seems unfair. A person who loves the Lord goes through suffering when a wicked one enjoys life, has plenty in health, joy and prosperity. I don’t really what to go through explanations of why this is happening (there are other posts on this issue).
What I really want to highlight is that our job is not to focus of what the Lord does with the wicked but what we do with the Lord. The answer is: “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him;”
He won’t treat you accordingly of what others do, He won’t comfort you because of others, He won’t judge you according to others. It is just you and Him. It is about trusting Him, so you wait for Him, staying always in His presence.
And I say Amen to it!
