Away from me…

Matthew 4v10

“Jesus said to him, “Away from me, satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.”

As I look out of my window I can see snow and rain at the same time; it is confusing. Most of the times, life is like that. We can get confused easily! We, humans, are like this. Animals follow their instincts and usually they don’t go wrong. I do not know whether they think – as we do -, I want to believe that they do, or all decisions, strategies and actions come out of pure instincts. However, they seem to me not confused at all, they know exactly what to do when.

Unlikely, we get easily confused. We have distanced ourselves from our “instincts”. What are our instincts? It is God Himself. It is what He has put, since the beginning, inside us plus all new added after our reconciliation with Him. We need Him in order to keep ourselves out of confusion.

The satan can play games in our minds/life and he tries to pull us away from God’s will, this is a fact!

Today, I wish to encourage you and remind you that satan has no power on a believer, cause who is inside us (God) is bigger of who is in the world (satan).

Nevertheless, we have been told what to do when we are attacked or put in temptation. What Jesus did? He commanded (not just told!) satan to go away from Him and He kept Himself close to God, close to what it is written.

What else is it written?

James 4v7

“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

Yes, he will flee! So, don’t lose heart! Amen!

Love,

Dimitra
