I remember when I was still working as an engineer and within my last post’s job description was to be the representative of the European Commission within the Committee of Water Donors. The motto was: “Water is life”.
And it is true! H2O is essential in our life, without it we die. It is not only life; it is one of the human rights! In September, 2010, the UN Human Rights Council adopted a resolution recognizing that the human right to water and sanitation are a part of the right to an adequate standard of living.
It is written in John 4v13-14
“Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
Jesus Christ came to this earth and was crucified in order to give access to reconciliation with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He said that He would send the Holy Spirit to us. This is the spring of water, this is the water, this is the river and it is LIFE, it is a HUMAN RIGHT for the ones who repent and acknowledge who God Almighty is, the ones who accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
This water is not only for some elite within the Church but for ALL who truly believe in Him and they confess His name.
Let’s go and get that water and we will never be thirsty again. It fulfils us and hydrates us 24/7, refreshes us, our cells, our souls, our minds and our spirit!
Our Heavenly Father, here we are in front of your throne of grace and we ask you Lord to forgive our sins and to help us to do better next time, to grow in knowing you, to be drawn closer to you and to continue to be true servants and ambassadors of our Saviour, in Jesus Name, we pray, amen!
