To Love Him

Mark 12v32-33

“And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: And to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love [his] neighbour as himself, is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

Our God and Lord loves us with an unconditional love. We walk towards learning how to love Him and each other, with an unconditional love. It is a journey and it is a process.

What is to Love Him?

The meaning of Loving Him describes, I believe, what means to love unconditionally. It clarifies what means to love our neighbour – the second essential commandment that covers all the rest of the Ten Commandments!

What is to Love Him?

  • Loving Him with all the heart. As we love Him with all the heart, our heart is full of Him. We keep checking our heart and see what is inside our heart, we keep cleansing it and above all, we guard our heart!
  • Loving Him with all the understanding. It is clear – in the scriptures – that we do not need to lean on our own understanding but upon Lord’s. How we get this understanding? It takes studying His Word, it takes silence and listening to His voice.
  • Loving Him with all our soul. Our soul is full of our emotions and thoughts. Our existence is body, soul and spirit. It doesn’t take only our heart to love Him, it takes our soul. It takes the deepest of us.
  • Loving Him with all our strength. Strength has to do with power: physical, bodily, emotional, moral and mental. In few: Loving Him with all we have.

  1. Your post brought more to mind. Loving Him is obeying His commands– following Him, cherishing Him. And, of course, we love because He first loved us. God Bless!
