Peace in the House…(c)

I pray that our Lord, the King of kings is praised and that all nations recognize Him, worship Him and bow to Him. I pray that all His children are used in amazing ways and they do His work and labour for the glory of our Lord. And all I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

Jesus Christ told us – as it is written in John’s Gospel, chapter 14 and verses 25 up to 27:

“All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. PEACE I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

Jesus Christ was still living on earth and he was talking to his disciples. It is very important to remember that He is the one who left His peace with us, a peace that it is obtained only through Him and by the guidance of the Holy Spirit who lives inside each believer. It is not the world that gives this peace. It is this tranquillity that exists inside us, given by Him. As we practice the fruits of this peace, peace reflects all around us, it develops, it enlarges and expands. As so many wise people have said, it is from inside to outside. We do reflect and create what we really have inside us, even during the darkest moments of our lives.

Have you ever felt a silence inside you? Something like an empty pleasant space? When we are in that state the things that happened (the stimulus) to us at that moment – externally – can’t destroy that silence/balance/emptiness away. Why? It is given by grace and not by effort. It is from God Almighty! Only by following Him, we can reach to this kind of peace . When we feel this tranquillity inside us, it is so easy to respond in a peaceful way to any stimulus around us.

I encourage you today to remind yourselves, each moment and each day, WHO you are in Christ and what is provided for you. By keep doing His will, praying and communicating, that’s how we will keep the peace in the House = the house of the Holy Spirit = us! Amen!

1Corinthians 6v19

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the HolySpirit [who is] in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”

Love,

Dimitra
