I look at the window of the photo attached. It was taken few years ago when I travelled around North Greece. It is not a common window, eh? Not even for the area where it is located. It seems strong and isolated, also bit repaired.
At first look, it does not seem a beneficial window, an opening that we can make something out of it. It is like this in life.
I strongly believe – and I have experienced it many times – that God does close doors and opens new windows or doors. We might do not see it at the time but, honestly, when you look back into your life, I am certain that you can recall few incidents. Even when we do acknowledge that the Lord opens a window, sometimes – or often! – we do not like it. It seems strange, repaired, not a normal window. We feel disappointed. We doubt that it is from God.
One of my three favourite scriptures in the Bible is the following:
‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”
This is the truth concerning doors or windows! The Lord has a plan and He has heard our desires and our prayers. The question is how He will implement it and we, usually, wonder and beat ourselves of how He will do it. We try to figure it out. This is not our job; it is His job.
Our job is to keep praising Him, keep communicating with Him, keep learning about Him, keep His instructions and use each opportunity He gives to do something so His name to be glorified.
When the window opens, it might look isolated, dark, repaired but I encourage you that as long as you know that you know that it is from God, wait and enjoy the view till this window completely opens and becomes a great door! Amen!
