“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us”
Wow! What a strong scripture and what an exciting promise. We think of the Lord as a person who does all we want when in difficulty as we ask Him for His favour; or during a happy moment giving thanks to Him for how He answered our prayers.
I use to say that the Lord does not hear only our prayers but also our thoughts and wispers. I say that out of experience. I had no biblical supportive scripture till I came across Ephesians 3v20.
It speaks about not only what we ask but also what we think. Our Lord is checking our heart and listens at our thoughts. That’s how important our thoughts are!
The other truly vital point is: “…Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…”. Exceedingly is a so emphasizing and strong word plus abundantly equals much more than our wildest dreams! What a promise to know that He is able to!
The last but not least essential point is, “…according to the power that works in us.” We do not exist alone. We co-exist with the Holy Spirit who lives inside us. Our body is His temple. Holy Spirit equals power!
That’s why we are satisfied in Christ; we are covered in Christ; we are provided in Christ! Christ is sufficient for us! Amen!
