The dead know nothing! (c)

Hello good friends! Love and joy on your path today!

Our Father God, we thank you that you guide us and keep us protected all days of our lives. We thank you that you provide for us. Forgive us Lord when we forget what you have done for us. We acknowledge who you are and we love you. Help us to live our lives according to your will, to do today all things that you put in our hands. Help us to do something nice for somebody else. In Jesus Name I pray, amen!

Few days ago I found a small note in my Bible indicating Ecclesiastes chapter 9.

I remembered that I had written it down but then forgot to read it. So, as they say “better late than never” I read it. Wow! What a chapter!

Ecclesiastes 9v2

“All share a common destiny—the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not.”

All of us we share the same destiny. I can understand this in various ways. I see that Ecclesiastes speaks about death. He says in 9v5: “For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing; they have no further reward, and even the memory of them is forgotten.”

I do understand also in a different dimension. It is about life and death but not only concerning our earthly body. It is about life and death concerning our eternal life with our Lord and Creator. Who is among the living has hope! What we choose now when we still breathe, will take us to the eternal presence of our Lord or not. When we die we will know nothing and there is nothing we can say or do to change it. We need now, that we still breathe, to accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and our Saviour, believe it in our hearts and confess it with our mouth.

This chapter speaks about a lot of things, such as appreciation and living each moment with gratefulness.

Have a great day and the Lord comes closer to you as you go closer to Him, amen!
