Dear Friends, thinking of you this moment and my prayer is that you won’t give up your dreams or the promises of the Lord in your life. It is hard at times and I pray that the good Lord helps you to persevere, to stand, to stay still and to wait upon the Lord till He delivers. He will complete what He started! In Jesus Christ precious name, I pray, amen!

We live in different places on earth, different traditions, different customs and different schedules! But wherever we live, there is One Spirit who unites us!

Looking at the Book of Nehemiah.  It is very enlightening how Nehemiah kept getting victory. It is really exciting to read this book – I have recently rediscovered it – especially notice chapter 6. It is difficult to choose verses, you need to read the whole thing and keep comparing it with the existing word (law) of the time, especially as the enemy invited him to meet in the Holy of Holies – where only priests were allowed. If he had no clue of the word of God, he would have been killed…but he knew…

Nehemiah got victory in the midst of his enemy because:

He was obedient: his mission was to build the wall and remained his priority till it was completed.

He had clear conscience: even if he was accused, he waved not. He knew that he was clear and kept his focus on his work and not the rumours.

He knew the word of God: he did not go left and right. He knew the word, so he knew where danger was, he knew how the enemy would act and he knew how to protect himself and his people.

The result?

Nehemiah 6v15-16

“So the wall was completed on the twenty-fifth of Elul, in fifty-two days. When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid  and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.”

At the end, victory was achieved and it was achieved by God. He was glorified, He was acknowledged even from the enemies! Is that great?

All humans seek victory in life and victory is only through Christ. Amen!

  1. Staying FOCUSED on the word of God can bring amazing results (Neh. 6:15). Even “multi-tasking” brings results (Neh. 4:17-18) and Imprinting the Lord on our minds in the things we are to do, will certainly deter any interpretations (Neh. 4:14). I enjoyed the “focus” Dimitra.
